Hennepin County District 6 - Special Election NOW!

Attention and greetings to Democrats in Hennepin County District 6:

You can VOTE NOW (early in person voting opened Monday, May 6th) for the Commissioner Special Election in Hennepin County District 6 (the seat was vacated before end of term by Chris LaTondresse). Election day is Tuesday, May 14th. Please note, there are no party designations on the ballot.

The only candidate aligned with DFL values is MN Representative Heather Edelson who gained the most votes in last week’s primary. Her opponent is the self described 'only conservative' on the ballot and is VERY far right in her positions and alignment.

The MN GOP and far right extreme groups are out in full force to take this election. Turnout was only 6% in the primary - our history is to have leadership in turnout! Let’s do it again; I know we can DO BETTER!

Hennepin county commissioners are responsible for a $2.7b budget and over 10000 employees. They have a significant influence on our quality of life - healthcare, mental health, public safety, infrastructure, housing, etc.
