2022 Convention - Senate District 50 DFL

The new Senate District 50 will host their organizing unit convention on Saturday, April 9th at South View Middle School in Edina, Minnesota.

Doors open at 8 am, registration begins at 9 am, and the convention will gavel in at 10 am. All attendees should enter at Door 11.

Official notice has been mailed to delegates. Masks are required at the convention unless actively drinking, eating, or addressing the convention.

Please view the draft convention documents at the links below. Please note: these documents are drafts which may be amended before they are voted on by the delegates at the convention. Copies of these documents will be available at the Convention for Delegates who would like paper copies. We encourage Delegates who are comfortable utilizing electronic copies to do so.

Election of SD50 Officers, Directors, and State Central Committee members: The Nominations Committee screened residents of SD50 who applied for a leadership role in our party unit. The Committee makes the recommendations for the individuals listed at this link to be elected to the roles as noted. Delegates will have the opportunity to vote during the Convention.

Light refreshments will be provided: donuts and pastries, yogurt, chips, fruit, soft drinks, coffee, and tea. To reduce plastic waste, participants are asked to bring their own water bottles. Breaks are included in the agenda and delegates are welcome to bring their own food if they wish.
