Apply for a leadership position - CD3

Greetings!

We need you to step up to a role in DFL’s Congressional District 3. Because of redistricting we have many positions available. We will elect new Officers, Directors, State Central Committee Representatives (SCC), State Pre-convention Committees (Credentials and Rules), State Standing Committees (Outreach & Inclusion,Constitution, Bylaws, Party Affairs & Coordinated Campaign, & Rules, Platform, Issues, & Legislative Affairs and Budget.

We need a chair and vice chair who ensure that meetings happen and that we get the business of the party done. We need a secretary who keeps minutes and records. We need a treasurer to manage funds and record financial transactions. We need an outreach and inclusion officer to reach out to new communities and build relationships. We need directors to help get DFL candidates elected and serve as vital advocates for important issues. We need representation at the state level to attend meetings and to conduct party business.

IMPORTANT: We need to elect the State Pre-convention Committee members for Credentials and Rules immediately. Applications must be submitted and interviews for these positions must be completed no later than April 25th*. A special CD3 SCC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday April 27th to vote on these positions. Immediately afterwards we need to advise the State DFL office of the results. Those elected must be available to attend the state's planning meeting on Saturday, April 30th. The time and meeting space will be announced.

The other positions will be voted on at CD3 convention on Saturday, May 7th at Osseo Senior High School. Registration is at 8a and gavel is at 9:30a. We’re a friendly group!
