Please let us know how you want to get involved by filling out this Google form.

Senate District 50 - Central Committee

Senate District (SD) Central Committee members (table officers, directors, and precinct chairs) are voting members and are expected to participate in our scheduled SD50 DFL Central Committee meetings (generally monthly). If you are unable to join us for a scheduled meeting, simply notify the Chair or the Secretary.

  • Table Officers: Chair, 1st Vice-Chair, 2nd Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Officer, Outreach and Inclusion Officer.

  • Directors: elected during our 2022 Convention.

  • Precinct Chairs: typically elected during precinct caucuses, but roles are filled as needed.

  • Precinct Vice-Chairs: if your Precinct Chair is absent from a meeting, the Precinct Vice-Chair of that Precinct is upgraded as a voting member of the SD50 Central Committee in their absence.

Standing Committees

Standing committees are created to do work, if needed, between meetings. Examples of these committees are:

  • Communications: Assist with monitoring and updating our Squarespace website and social media accounts.

  • Events: Assist with organizing social and fundraising events including our annual picnic and coordinated campaign activities (door-knocks, phone banks, lawn signs).

  • State Central Committee (SCC) members are voting members representing our Senate District and are expected to participate in scheduled State Central Committee meetings. A member who is unable to participate in a meeting is expected to arrange for an alternate to participate in their place. SCC members were elected at our 2022 Convention.

  • State Central Committee members are voting members of their Congressional District (CD) Central Committee and are expected to participate in scheduled Congressional District Central Committee meetings. There is no alternate list or non-attendance notification process at this time.
